Plot twist! Who saw this coming? The AI bigshot, OpenAI, created a media stir by announcing that its top honcho, Fidji Simo, is hitting the pause button on her CEO duties. Talk about being fashionably late to the “unexpected leave of absence” party. However, fear not, OpenAI isn’t stepping onto the rudderless ship. Sam Altman, who’s been steering the board, will now be commandeering the whole vessel while Simo sips margaritas on a beach somewhere, or so we’d imagine. <\/p>\n
This news comes just as the ink had barely dried on the contract. Those with a penchant for timekeeping would note that Simo celebrated her first year at OpenAI just in the last quarter of 2021. But when you’re steering a ship as big as OpenAI, those waves of responsibility come crashing in mighty fast. <\/p>\n

Altman, the captain now at the helm, isn’t new to such choppy waters. With years of tech industry experience and a firm hand at the board, let’s just say, OpenAI could’ve called on worse.
