And no, this isn\u2019t about abridging comic version of these calls, though that\u2019d be something to behold. Here, it refers to tricking unsuspecting recipients into believing they are receiving a call from trusted sources, thereby obtaining sensitive information under false pretenses. Quite the techie \u2018trick or treat\u2019 feat, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n
Interestingly, the FCC ruling also took a conclusive stand against text messages generated by artificial intelligence. Clearing up any confusion, it emphasized that these, too, troupe under the \u2018illegal\u2019 category.
