Generative AI Joins the 2024 Political Race: It’s No Longer Human-Only Politics!

“2024 Is the Year of the Generative AI Election”

“In 2024, a presidential election year, generative AI has gone mainstream. The technology—which uses machine learning to generate images, text, and sounds—has become so sophisticated, so deft at mimicking human creativity, that it’s difficult to distinguish between content created by machines and humans..” – Wired.com.

Wow, can we just hit the pause button for a moment? We’re talking AI that’s so cutting edge, it feels like we’re in a sci-fi movie. But, it’s not 3019, it’s 2024, and instead of Arnold Schwarzenegger declaring “I’ll be back”, AI will be the one making a name for itself in the presidential election.

So, AI has sashayed in and decided it can imitate human creativity better than a Hollywood A-lister mimics their characters. We now live in a world where machines don’t just understand, but generate images, text, and sounds. Apparently, machines have grasped the human psyche’s most coveted jewel – creativity.

But, it’s a bit mystifying, right? Are we slowly inching towards a future where AI will be warmongering and peacekeeping at the same time? Or will they swoop in to solve climate crisis, cure cancer, or create a new vegan cheese that doesn’t taste like plastic? Well, thank you for dropping that bombshell, 2024.

As this AI advances, the line between human and machine-generated content is becoming blurrier than the vision after a Friday night out. Consider the previous elections and the role social media played. Now, imagine that on steroids. Generative AI, with its hyper-realistic mimicry, is going to be a game-changer for sure. The previously entertaining mix of memes, cat videos, and thought pieces would look pretty primitive in comparison to what AI has up its virtual sleeve.

If generative AI’s mainstream arrival is as Wired.com suggests, political strategists might have to scratch their heads harder to swim in this ocean of technology. After all, politics is ultimately about persuading humans, not machines. Unless, of course, AI has voting rights by 2024. Seems legit.

Well, only God and perhaps Elon Musk know what’s around the corner for generative AI. But for the rest of us, it’s safe to say we’re well and truly down the rabbit hole, and we might never look at our Alexa the same way again. Brace yourself world, AI isn’t just coming, it’s here. Happy 2024, everyone! I guess we’ll have to see who will be in the edition of fake news – us or the machines.
