Hinting at the future, he suggested that AWS would be developing AI tools that people could use without needing a degree in data science. So, despite that enviable PhD sticker on your wall, you might be on level with your pizza-delivering cousin, as far as using AI tools on AWS goes. Well, isn’t that a fun twist in the tale!

One of the main themes that emerged from Garman’s chat was the agency of AI. The notion of building AI agents that could be programmed to take actions; we’re talking about AI so smart that they’d perform tasks without requiring humans’ intervention constantly. One can almost hear your Alexa chuckling wickedly!

Mr. Garman took things to another level when he shared future plans, where AI might not only predict what action an agent should take but actually taking those actions too. Essentially, we might be heading towards an era where AI doesn’t just dutifully follow instructions, but also takes decisions independently. Who knew we’d live to see the day when Skynet-followers would shout, “we told you so.”
